The Spring 2025 Grant winners will be announced on Tuesday June 24th, 2025. For other dates please see our Grant Schedule.

If selected, you will need to provide proof citizenship or residency of the United States and proof of residency in New York City before being awarded a Spring 2025 grant. This proof of citizenship can include a Passport, a Resident Alien Card and for NYC residency a NYS Driver's License, a NYC resident ID card or a utility bill.

If you are selected to receive a Literature Grant Award, you will need to provide proper documentation to substantiate the calculation of any course reduction / salary replacement / living expenses requirements you have requested in the Budget area of the application.

Café Royal Cultural Foundation will send you a Letter of Agreement, Welcome Kit and a Final Report Template to review and agree to and sign before you can begin receiving disbursements of Grant Award Funds.

Grants are awarded to and funds are dispersed to an individual person, not to a band, group or organization. The Grantee is responsible for the direct payment of Approved Project Expenditures from the Grant Award Funds. The Grant Award is not classified or reported as taxable income to you personally, provided you fulfill all of your obligations contained in the Letter of Agreement.

As an IRS-approved tax-exempt grant-making organization, Café Royal Cultural Foundation is required to obtain from you a Project Final Report. An example can be found here. An example can be found here.
