CULTURAL FOUNDATiON
The Café Royal Cultural Foundation is delighted to announce our expansion to New York City. Since 2007 the foundation, based in Hamburg, Germany, has supported and fostered talented artists of all kinds, enabling them to enhance their craft and realize their artistic vision. Café Royal Cultural Foundation NYC is now offering grants for artists in NYC.
The awards are established to support and encourage artists residing in New York City who are currently working in music, visual arts, performance and literature.
Café Royal Cultural Foundation offers a limited number of grants for artists working in these disciplines. Recipients will be determined by the foundation’s executive committee on the basis of artistic excellence, accomplishment to date, and the promise of future achievements in their medium.
MUSiC
Café Royal Cultural Foundation NYC supports musicians by awarding music production grants to artists in all genres of music. Production comprises the recording, mixing and mastering of artist projects. Grant winners have the option of working at world-renowned Flux Studios and receiving Flux’s independent artist rate, or at a Café Royal Cultural Foundation approved recording location.
Submissions: To ensure that each submission receives the attention it deserves we will be only accepting 40 application for each of our categories.
Deadlines: Our Spring 2024 Grant cycle is now open and closes on Monday May 6th, 2024 or if we reach our limit of 40 applications, which ever comes first.
ViSUAL
Café Royal Cultural Foundation advances the visual arts by awarding grants to artists across a variety of genres, including painting, drawing, sculpture and photography.
Submissions: To ensure that each submission receives the attention it deserves we will be only accepting 40 application for each of our categories.
Deadlines: Our Spring 2024 Grant cycle is now open and closes on Monday May 6th, 2024 or if we reach our limit of 40 applications, which ever comes first.
PERFORMANCE
Café Royal Cultural Foundation awards performance grants to individuals and groups focused on the production of theater, dance, and performance art.
Submissions: To ensure that each submission receives the attention it deserves we will be only accepting 40 application for each of our categories.

LiTERATURE
Café Royal Cultural Foundation awards grants to authors of prose (fiction/creative nonfiction), poetry, and playwriting.
